Do you feel like you are fighting an uphill battle when it comes to visible signs of aging? Over-the-counter topical treatments for wrinkles and other blemishes become ineffective at some point. When you’ve reached that point, or even any time before, you may want to consider professional anti-aging/correcting treatments. Here at Allure Enhancement Center, we offer a variety of treatments that can be combined or customized to fit your needs. Contact us today to schedule your consultation!
Chemical Peels
When it comes to anti-aging/correcting treatments, chemical peels are some of the most effective. This treatment uses a mild, medium, or deep peel that sloughs away dead skin cells and other debris. This allows new, healthy skin to replace scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and other blemishes.
Good candidates for this treatment include anyone who is interested in a non-surgical, non-invasive method for anti-aging. Chemical peels can be customized to fit your needs, and the mild and medium peels can be repeated as necessary until the desired results are achieved.
Microneedling/PRP Treatments
Microneedling is a well-established treatment in the beauty industry for promoting the production of collagen and elastin within the skin. The microneedling device contains tiny needles that create micro-channels on the surface of the skin. These channels then stimulate the body’s healing response, which is an effective anti-aging technique.
PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, can be added to microneedling for enhanced results. The PRP is created from the patient’s own blood, and then used as a lubricant on the face for the microneedling device. As the micro-channels are created, the PRP absorbs into the skin.
Laser Treatments
Anti-aging/correcting treatments with laser can be ablative or nonablative in nature. These treatments are ideal for pigmentation issues, like brown or red spots, broken blood vessels, and other forms of discoloration. Depending on the treatment, some downtime may be required.
The laser treatment is used to heat the skin tissue to promote regeneration. Some laser treatments may be used for fine lines and wrinkles or other visible signs of aging. Depending on your concerns, you may need more than one treatment in order to see the results you’re looking for.
Botulinum Toxins
Botulinum toxins are an injectable treatment that is used to treat expression lines. These lines form dynamic wrinkles, which are signs of aging that eventually appear due to smiling, frowning, and other facial expressions. The botulinum toxin is injected into specific muscle groups in order to temporarily relax the muscles that are responsible for wrinkles.
Most patients see results about one week after the first treatment, and can expect them to last up to four months. At this time you can have a follow-up treatment performed in order to maintain your results.
Dermal Fillers
Similar to botulinum toxins, dermal fillers are another injectable treatment. Instead of relaxing the muscles, however, fillers are used to add volume to areas like the cheeks and lower face. Dermal fillers can also be used to plump the lips and erase wrinkles that are not treated by botulinum toxins.
Depending on the type of filler used, most treatment results last around one year. You can always come in for touch-up appointments as necessary to keep your skin looking healthy and youthful.
